Chris Nagle recently returned from the annual conference of the
North American Society for the Study of Romanticism (NASSR) in Toronto, where he presented a paper, “‘Soils Luxuriant’: The Diverse Pleasures of Ann Batten Cristall.” This work on his favorite (obscure) late 18th-century poet was part of a Special Session devoted to
Romantic Poems, Diverse Readerships, and is part of a longer contribution to an essay collection on queer literary history, currently in review.
