Dr. José E. Limón is Notre Dame Professor of American Literature and Concurrent Professor of American Studies at the University of Notre Dame. His academic interests include Cultural Studies, American Literature, Mexican-American Literature, Gender and Sexuality, Critical Theory, US-Mexico Cultural Relations, Anthropology and Literature, Folklore, and popular culture. Dr. Limón is a recipient of numerous prestigious awards and grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Council of Learned Societies among others. His extensive publications canvas a wide variety of topics in US-Mexican culture, folklore, and historiography.
