Graff/Birkenstein engender lively debate

Gerald Graff and Cathy Birkenstein (U of Illinois at Chicago) visited WMU as part of the English Department's "Speakers Series." Their presentation, “Writing Templates for Non-Robots,” and teaching workshop, "Teaching the 'Naysayer Move' and Other Counterintuitive Academic Practices," on February 12 and 13, engendered a lively debate among attending students and faculty as to the teaching of academic writing.
